There is an order to things. Perhaps, the aussie meat pie was the first course … but, ah, it wasn’t. I just had that one pie. That said, an aussie meat pie shop opened just a few blocks from my apartment but it closed before I ever had a chance to try one.

True story: my mother-in-law grew up in Pie Town, New Mexico.

I stopped in Pie Town in January 2010! And, of course, I had a delicious pie!

We had a family reunion in that area several years ago, but we stayed in a cabin at the foot of Poverty Peak. I never did get a piece of pie!
