Did you know that in Missouri there is a town named Knob Noster? Right next door is Whiteman Air Force Base, which routinely dismisses reports filed by the folks of Knob Noster claiming they’ve seen unidentified flying broomsticks (UFBs).

This dilemma brings up my disappointment that Rosie the Maid from the Jetsons has not become a common household helper. I expected more from this technological wonder, and here I am – still doing my own housework.

It’s been a long time since broomsticks have made any headway at all. Perhaps Knob Noster is the place to be.

I had a friend who introduced himself to a “bedknob”. Turned out the light by the door and dove for the bed. Nose first into the bedknob. I asked him if he knew about bedside tables and lamps. He didn’t seem to comprehend. He likes doing it his way.

Funny! I did something similar when I visited my mom recently. I arrived late and went to the guest room, not knowing she had moved all the furniture, and without turning on the light, threw myself on to where I thought the bed was, but was in fact, now a just an empty space with a throw rug.

That could have been disaster. There were a few cocktails involved with my friends “Bedknob” encounter. Just knowing you a short time Tref, could that have been a possibility with your experience?

I do have the image in my mind and it is kinda funny. Anyway it is an excellent post (And side story).

Not to belabor the story, but firstly, my mom lives in the woods so it was pitch black in the room, & secondly, it’s a big room, & I did a sort of running jump. If you ever saw the ending of the Return of the Pink Panther, it felt a little like that. (By the way, RotPP, best ending ever.)
