I used to know a girl named, Sincerely.
When she moved away,
I tried to write her a letter to
express all the things in my heart.
It was a very short letter.
It began,
Dear Sincerely,
George.
P.S. Once again,
I have run out of room.
ii.
Then, at the bottom of the letter,
I added a bunch of X’s and O’s.
Telling her,
… this is what tic-tac-toe looks like
unbridled by the number sign.
And she answers back… Sincerely, Sincerely

Imagine the correspondence if it had worked out…
You: I am yours Sincerely
Her: I am yours, Sincerely

My Featured Blogger this week is George Raymond of the exceedingly quirky blog site Trefology. At least I think it is. That’s because it’s difficult–no make that outright futile–to get a straightforward answer out of this fine fellow. On the other hand, it’s extremely easy to get a smile, a chuckle, and even an outright guffaw out of his humorous verses. Could he be Ogden Nash’s long-lost nephew? We’ll never know.
So that will have to.
Do, that is, do.
No, make that suffice.
Which is just as nice.
