I love to see

you smile,

love to hear you laugh,

I’ve got one

of those

in a photograph

***

And, I love to hear you sleep,

love to watch

you dream,

I got both of those

in my memories

ii.

If you could

feel what I feel

when I see you,

heart starts pounding

chills go flying

through me …

In a blue mood

3.

Every-time I look at you

My blue blue girl

Hair of brown & eyes of brown

What a blue blue girl

***

What did I do

(my baby)

to make you so blue?

(my baby my blue)

My blue blue girl

***

Every-time i take you out

My blue blue girl

all you do is sit and pout

My blue blue girl

***

What did I do

(my baby)

to make you so blue?

(my baby my blue)

My blue blue girl

***

I lay awake at night

wondering why you’re

so blue

and I

just don’t know what to do

Oh me.

I love you

The light went out

Just burned itself out.

The world is not as bright

since the light went out

***

It flickered for while,

still it made her smile

Then our world went dark

when the light went out

***

I had a thought

I never thought before

I know I’ll never be

alone

***

Photographs and memories

trinkets left behind …

***

Life as free as a

summer breeze

we had so many good times.

She served it with a grin

Come in little cans

had a lot of fans

in the army infantry

***

Some people hate

but a lot of kids ate it

growing up near Waikiki

***

Mama said,

“It’s good for you”

She would serve it with a grin

And it’s not surprising

after eating it all our life,

to be in the shape were in

***

Comes in a can

kind of tastes like ham

you don’t want to see

it made

***

We ate a lot of it

and started to love it

fried up with

rice and egg

***

It was quite a feat squeezing

Hawaiian steak

into that little tin

since i left home

sure miss mom

but i don’t miss the indigestion

***

Talking about Spam …

***

Slice, dice it, fry it up

and spice it

It made me what I am

***

Spam, Spam, Spam

***

When I go back

to look up my old friends

in Honolulu

We pops some beers

and eat a lot of

Spamalulu stew

***

Mama said …

Talkin’ ’bout Spam …
