I bought my friend

a birthday card

but when I

returned home

I noticed that

the card had,

‘Happy Birthday’

already printed

on the inside.

Now what

was I supposed

to write?

Greeting cards companies never think about that.

Maybe

“Happy Birthday”

was all I had to say to 

that guy, anyway.

And, worse,

now the Peanuts gang

have said it first

So, at the bottom I wrote,

“Happy birthday from me, too.”
