Unfortunately, it’s a very old story, so, not much is known of what became of them, but if I had to guess, I would say, a week later they met for coffee, and after a whirlwind romance, they married, moved to the mid-west, started a family, built a business, watched their children grow to respectable adulthood, then, eventually retire and live out their years in relative peace, surrounded by their grandchildren. Btw, you know, if the hearses had their self-driving apps switched on, maybe they wouldn’t have crashed, Which would not preclude the possibility that the passengers’ fate was sealed the week before, when they hitched rides with Thelma and Louise.
