The greatest trick the devil

ever pulled was convincing itself

that it had convinced the world

that it does not exist.

I wish

the spirits of

my ancestors

took more of

an active role

in my life.

They seem mostly

disinterested

in what I do.

Bring honor to the family.

Bring disgrace to the family.

It’s all the same to them.

They say that

those that can’t

do, teach.

Which is probably

why my swimming

teacher drowned

.

I could return to the womb

is if I was lured there

by a trail of candy

-Laughter is the best medicine-

but laugh at a few sick people

& everybody gets uptight

always seemed the

saddest of the superheroes,

being that he is

fueled  by the power

of unrequited love

canine teeth

If my dog gets

her canine teeth
