On the wall of my
doctor’s office
there is a photo
of a chap who had
his thumb severed
in an
industrial accident.
***
Incredibly, the
doctor was able
to replace the
missing thumb with
the man’s big toe!
***
And, well, that’s fine for him.
***
And a thumb is important.
***
But no thanks.
I’ve just been discussing this with my old man. We both came to the conclusion that ideally he should have opted for the big toe of a fellow who had died in a tragic accident and had donated his body parts for transplant. The old boy sends his regards, by the way and will be back blogging soon as the blind eye that was, now isn’t.

Good to hear! Your Mr. Steed is most certainly missed.

I wonder if he gets confused dipping his toes into the water.

Hah! I hadn’t thought of that.

Little Jack Horner
Sat in the corner,
Eating a Christmas pie;
He put in his big toe,
And pulled out a plum,
And said ‘What a good boy am I.”

Yeah, I think I’d pass on that also.

I can think of another body part which might have been used for a replacement, but I doubt the public is ready to embrace such a handy way to make whoopee or urinate….not to mention, the zipper industry would probably suffer a downturn. :(
