Some of those bats are from the belfry. It’s easy to tell which ones. Just look for the ding-a-lings!

Although I am a huge Dracula fan, I can’t say I like bats even a little. If those little rats with wings get confused, so be it.

Up, up in the mountains where my mom lives, we had a bat that would patiently wait for us to go inside each night before swooping down to catch insects. We always thought of it as being the most polite bat we’d ever known.
