Didn’t the same thing happen to Van Halen?

And they never tell you until you get to the theater and see the sign, “Sitting in for Amadeus Mozart to-night … ” Thanks, Mick.

True, but I also remember that time I went to see the Mills Brothers, even though I was pretty sure they were all dead. When the show started, I was immediately proved correct, they were all skeletons!

Ah, the Mills Brothers. The little known trio incarnation was my favourite. Steel, Pepper, Flour. Those guys could really grind it out.

Thinking that the band broke up is a classic mistake.

The vitality in his music, currently permeating my being though earbuds, suggests that news of the Mozart’s demise in 1791 may have been exaggerated. The Wolf may have taken the gang on tour under another name. The ad that inspired your post, George, seems to confirm it.

What get’s me is that Salieri murdered Mozart the same way the old amusement park caretaker tried to scare off the Scooby gang. Thanks, E. Sum

Was that Mo or Zart who left the band?

It would have to be Mo, because ‘Mo’ is always the leader. (Raymond, G. 1989. Moe: The Three Stooges Principle. Journal of Scientific Inquiry. April 190-205).

It seems like it is now policy for the lead to pass and the band to carry on.
