  1. … And unfortunately for me, their ruse worked. Mom wasn’t very smart.

  2. One day, the milkman stepped outside and found a note attached to a garden gnome: “Mr. Milkman, please find enclosed a check in the amount of $2,000. My wife will be dropping off the baby later this afternoon. In six months, I will pay you another $2,000 to keep the baby for an additional six months. Semiannual payments will continue until Little George is 18 years of age. The thing is, we don’t want to raise the baby. There’s something trefological about it. And that worries me. That worries me a lot. — Mr. Raymond”

  3. I heard that deliveries by Amazon stork come with free returns to sender if they are dropped off on a neighbor’s doorstep. Neighbors are Amazon’s carrier pigeons for returns. Amazon milkmen handle returns for neighbors that can barely pick up a milk bottle, much less a basket of joy.

    • After the stork delivered me I never saw him again, not so much as a phone call, until he “reappeared” just in time for my college graduation photo op. Thanks, E Sum!

  4. Oh I know the feeling of not being wanted….as a kid I used to have a packed lunch for my dinner at school…. I know I wasn’t wanted, each day my parents wrapped my sandwiches in a roadmap!

  5. NO!!!! (dying of laughter.) Your priceless my friend! This post made my day! My mother used to make jokes like that too when I was a kid. Not a good as this one though. Chefs kiss!
