I used to keep a diary.
But I was so worried
somebody might read it,
I began lying in it.
Though I tried to keep it in check,
later, I published
it under the title:
***
My Perilous Journey to the North Pole.

Trefology thanks
you for reading,
writing
& arithmetic.
Oh, I like this very much Geo. Very neat indeed.
Hits the spot for me at present; not just Lonely Keyboards but reading Mary Karr’s book on memoir.

You seem to have exaggerated your thanks as well. At least I can relax reading about your perilous journey to the North Pole, knowing that you survived. I have also learned from your post that I need to start telling bigger lies.

Thanks, Geoff. And Santa said to say, “Hey!”

Possibly all autobiographies are exaggerated lying diaries whose authors are unaware that they are dreaming it up as they go along. Topping my shortlist of exceptions is the autobiography of St. Nick, translated from Elfish to Trefish by George Raymond.

Love it. Reading, writing, and arithmetic is a nice bonus funny, too. :)

My Perilous Journey to the North Pole, Chapter 7 – The Big Game.
How I huddled with the Sasquatch Sentinels during a playoff game against the Yukon Moose, and pulled off the winning goal for the home team.

Yeh all those years I thought the presents were free. Turns out Santa is running a pay later scam! I just got a bill for footie pajamas. I don’t even remember them! Thanks, Janny!

I really hope there is a book titled My Perilous Journey to the North Pole, but only if it does not talk about arithmetic.

Nope. Mostly about meeting Santa. Thanks, SS!
