There really were a real Romeo and a real Juliet, so in a way you’re right that some plays write themselves. Maybe not the history plays, though. Shakespeare made up too much of the history he wrote. For example, Prince Hal did not kill Hotspur in 1 HENRY IV.
I know a little Shakespeare history but compared to your knowledge, it is a mere drop in a very large bucket. But if was important to me that I did not offend the esteemed DB and the DBB. Thanks.
