between the two
circus companies was
about to commence.

The Ringmaster called for
the clowns, he called

and the ferocious lions.

other circus was fast asleep.

Col. Beauregard ‘s Famous Flying Circus
& Side Show-Supreme of 1873!“

The strongman wheeled out
the mighty circus cannon, and
aimed it at the rival circus.

A hush fell over
the circus folk.
Then the Ringmaster said:
“Fire.”

Boom went the cannon!

Did the weapons of war escalate? Human mortars? Human short-range nuclear missiles? Perhaps cluster bombs composed entirely of face-bound pies? This clown-on-clown violence must stop!

You’d think clown on clown violence would be quite comical, and at the start it usually is, but then it just get’s sad.

Ah yes, the bloody Circus Wars of 1892, 1947 and 1985. Some of the greats died in those clown drive-by’s … Bobo, Hobo, Dodo, Pasty and Lemons.
