Thank you, Sadje!
You’re most welcome
Do not hear the wood split. Hear the only sound of axe, cutting air.
Thanks, JP
And thank you for the Gymkata reference, perhaps the greatest of all gymnastics+martial arts fusions, just slightly ahead of TaeTastic Masters (‘83) and Tumb-Fu 2: Deadly Dismount (also from ‘85, and only released for American audiences in Scottish dub). Bless ya!
I remember watching Gymkata with my friends when it first was released on VHS. That was in ’85? I was already a fan of the Medved brothers’ ‘worst films’ books, so I might have known its reputation going in — but it’s been so long, I can’t say for sure. What I do know is that, all these years later, the movie is still lodged in my brain. Thanks, Jason.
40 years old today! https://www.inverse.com/entertainment/gymkata-40-year-anniversary

There are millions of things that we used to do that rhyme. But what about snails? Snails leave trails, consisting of slime every time.
They do though don’t they though. Thanks, David!

My work here is done. Thanks, Pam!

Here’s an old nursery rhyme for you, George. :)
Georgie Porgie, Puddin’ and Pie,
Kissed the girls and made them cry,
When the boys came out to play
Georgie Porgie ran away
Hah! Georgie Porgie and Georgy Girl were the bane of my kindergarten days. Thanks, Nancy!

Thanks, Dawn!
So many rhymes out there I could come up with, but I don’t want to ride on your coattails. Gonna just let yours shine! :)
Au contraire. I’d have loved to see your version. But thanks, S.
This is clever, playful, and full of charm…. Rhymes and memories perfectly blended…
Thanks, Willie. I appreciate the kind words.
Not having a horse, I’d been meaning to ask how to practice gymkhana.
Then I re-read the piece and did a search.
