Happy Halloween. I’ve also wondered about the lifts. Very fashion forward in a Harajuku visual-kei type of way, considering the time the film was produced. 🎃😘👻💀🧡

(1) The Frankenstein monster wore lifts because he was always looking over the director’s shoulder to read his lines, which were variations of “M-m-m-mm-!” and “R-a-a-a-gh!’
(2) My pappy tried to outrun my mummy, but I’m proof that he didn’t succeed.

Way to empathize with the undead. That may come in handy during the zombie apocalypse. Then again, saying, “You guys… they’re just hungry,” to your fellow living humans may not earn you any points.

He wore lifts because that’s what Abby Normal used.
Just watched ‘The Mummy’ (Wolfman also) and tref it’s still not a bad flick. He was a little stiff after a few years in the old crypt so no worries on him catching you.
